MOU between IISSM & IIRSM for Training and Certification in the Field of Loss Prevention

New Delhi: In a very significant development, the capital based prestigious International Institute of Security and Safety Management (IISSM) and International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) from Britain have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to impart intensive short term and regular courses in the field of Fire, Safety, Crisis Management, Disaster Response, Mitigation and Recovery. Shri J.K.Sinha, Member, of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), presided over the function held in Chelmsford Club, New Delhi.

According to Mr. R. K. Sinha, Executive Chairman, IISSM, both the organisations have been working in their respective countries in the field of Crisis Management with great degree of distinction since long. “We have decided to join hands so that quality Training & Certification in this field can be provided to all those who are keen to make their career in Loss Prevention Management and Disaster Mitigation” Mr. Sinha informed.

Mr.Brian Nimick, CEO, IIRSM said “IIRSM and IISSM will collaborate in the field of Occupational and Public Health and Safety as well as Industrial Security in both UK and India. We will also give Accreditation to other similar training institutions in India, through IISSM.” Mr. Brain Nimick also said that after this agreement, over 50 thousand members of both organisations will exchange professional knowledge, information, share library and database.

Both the organisations have undertaken to promote and support each other at various joint events, seminars, conferences, workshops and training courses to standardize security and safety practices between the UK and developing countries such as India.

Mr. Raj Lakha, Managing Director, Safety Solution Limited, UK, and Mr R.C.Sharma, Chairman IISSM and Former Director CBI, were also present on the occasion.
