Dear Dhanesh,
The October 2006 Newsletter is just about the best I have seen so far. I salute and congratulate all those who had a part in making it so.

Dear Mr. Nath
It was indeed a pleasure receiving the newsletter from you. As you have always asked for suggestions I take the liberty of making one such submission with regards to the newsletter. It may be worth considering classifying the terrorism file into continent and country-wise profiling. This would give the reader a lot of information regarding the country / area in the same location without scrolling all across. Basically it would be more user friendly.
Sir, it is just a thought which you may consider worthwhile. Hope you will excuse my audacity of doing the same.
Warm Regards
Capt Percy Jokhi

Dear Sir,
How are you?
Thanks for the News Letter..asusual it is informative and enlightning...abosrbing ofcourse..been enjoying every edition of it...
With ref to the Editorial portion of it, I take liberty to send u the latest edition of a Web News Letter for which I am a regular subscriber..u may like to go through..I am not saying that we should follow or copy it, but only to pick a few ideas, specially when we want to commercialise it....If u feel that I am transgressing the Editorial Boundary, please forgive me....
Some one need to tell the powers that be in at your office that the legal currency in India is INR & NOT US $...and they should quote INR for the benefit of poor Indians when they communicate about charges etc....it may help those who are poor at Maths...like me..
Will look forward for ur reply

Dear Dhanesh,
I have read with interest the introductory Part -reshaping and redesigning as also the Editorial. I am taking the liberty of offering my views.
First I must admit that I have no interest in what I perceive as Domestic Security/Safety or its management. At best what you term as a 'non security clientale', and interested because it is taken out by some one whose products I appreciate.
If you make the Newsletter a purely professional publication like a Medical or Engineering one it will interest its readership will shrink.
Maybe it would attract some Ads from firms selling safety gadgets.
I feel the Newsletter could include
1] matters of peripheral interest also e.g the TOI editorial in this issue. Even the Editorial mentions, in passing, the Nuclear Test in North Korea, Al Queda and Terrorism from J&K to North East.
2] Letters to the Editor. Some policemen would be itching to give a rejoinder to the Ed platitudes and show the obstacles from the Oligarchy and the Politicians. Or readers views on any Article.
3] To make it spicy,a cartoon or a joke connected with safety
4] I find that prematurely retired Armed forces personnel become Safety and security experts immediately on retirement and are given preference by the Firms also. Some suitable material to pander to such elements
5] No shying away from Ads, but selective in contents and by ascertaining to the extent possible, that they are not 420.
Best wishes for an even better Newsletter.
