Security aspects in the Banking sector in India has remained an area of concern due to inadequate security system in place, lack of security awareness at functional level and our tendency to take things on face value leading to frauds and losses. As per the Finance Ministry’s statistics, the frauds in our banking system have increased rapidly over the past 4 – 5 years resulting in a colossal loss of over one thousand crore of INR every year. Therefore, there is a strong need to sensitise this sector through professional updates on matters related to Banking Security.
To update the knowledge and practical skills of all the participants related to Bank Security Management so as to enable them formulate a sustainable and comprehensive Disaster Mgt Plan for their assets & contribute effectively to Risk Management / Business Continuity, ATM Security and other related facets of activities.
Our carefully designed syllabus keeps the Changing Security Scenario of our Country in mind & studies the trends in Banking Related Crimes closely. Valuable guidelines for Bank Security, Vulnerability Analysis and Integrated Physical Security Plan, Disaster Risk Mgt and Business Continuity Planning, Arms Act, Arms Rules, Arms Licenses, Guns and Ammunition etc also form part of the curriculum besides a detailed exposure to RBI & IBA Guidelines on security and application of PSAR Act in Security Management.

Investigations, Reporting and Handling of Insurance Claims, Information Security, Training of Bank Guards/ Gunmen/ Cash Van Crews and Bank Staff are covered in exhaustive manner.
The Programme is designed for Security Service Providers, serving Bank Security Officers and all other managerial level functionaries who are related to overall Security Management of Banks.

Brigadier (Retd) S Sreeramuluwas commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in March 1971 and served in the Army for over 3 decades. He was faculty in a number of premier Military Institutions including the Indian Army War College.
Brigadier Sreeramulu worked as the Chief Security Advisor of Union Bank of India, Facility Head of a Multinational Clinical Research Laboratory and as Business Head of SIS (India) Ltd for Andhra Pradesh & North Karnataka. He has made significant contributions to the Security World, which includes the following:
- Revising 'Guidelines for Security in Public Sector Banks' which is currently in use by all Public Sector Banks.
- Disaster Risk Management Plan and Business Continuity Plan for Union Bank of India. During the deluge and floods of 2005, while a number of banks lost heavily, Union Bank of India did not lose any asset or cash – which was complimented by UNDP in their International Journal on Disaster Management.
