On the eve of the Xth Annual International Seminar held at Bangalore, Southern Chapter was opened on March 2, 2002.

A meeting of the IISSM members was held on 25th February 2012 to elect new office bearers of the Bengaluru Chapter. The members unanimously elected are as below:

• Chapter Chairman: Mr. Harindran A, Global Investigation Manager of TNT.
  
• Vice-Chairman: Mr. P Ravindranath, Managing Director, Private Eye (P) Limited and Vice President of Karnataka Security Service Association.
  
• Chapter Secretary: Mr. T Venugopal, of Security and Intelligence Service (India) Limited.
  
• Joint Secretary: Mr. Shamanth P Gowda, Managing Director, Chamber of Security & Allied Service (CSAS).
  
• Chapter Treasurer: Mr. Y Shekhar, Security Head, Novatel.
  

The Board of Directors include:

• Mr. Gopal P Chaudhary, Vice President and Global Security Head of WIPRO.
  
• Major G Vijay Kumar, Chief Security Officer, ISTA Hotels.
